This is a proof of concept I created using McDonald's ninty-nine cent Big Mac and actually shared using AirDrop on iOS 7. It demonstrates how brands will use Apple's iOS 7 AirDrop to share advertisements and interact amongst customers using Apple's iPhones and iPads.
With AirDrop, you can share a photo or a video with a specific person or multiple people. Just tap the Share icon, select who you want to share with, and let AirDrop do its thing.
You’re automatically visible in AirDrop to your contacts running iOS 7. But you can also make yourself visible to anyone nearby using iOS 7 or to no one at all. One tap in Control Center is all it takes.
In the near future, brands will create creative viral ads and share them with customers using Apple's iOS7 Airdrop on iPads and iPhones.
Teams working for specific brands will share and target customers in specific locations with Apple's AirDrop. Brands will share photos, videos, coupons, Passbook cards for free items, calendars, directions, songs, menus, tickets, etc… plus models advertising different products and brand names.
Local Mom and Pop shop's could also take advantage of this form of hyper-localization advertising. Apple's iOS7 AirDrop also now opens up a whole new meaning to dating and hitting on someone at the bar or coffee shop.
